boyd philadelphia salt

this good open salt is attributed with confidence to the maker parks boyd. he worked in philadelphia, pennsylvania from 1795 to 1819 making some of the most attractive forms of his era. this open salt is no exception, and is most pleasing with its beading and proportions. the salt stands 2 7/16” tall, has a 2 9/16” top diameter and 2 3/8” bottom diameter. is is in good condition with a salt etched interior.
