It is with a heavy heart that i announce the passing of my beloved husband, Frank M. Powell, on April 1, 2024. Following is his obituary:

Frank Powell was truly a renaissance man, deeply passionate about pewter and dedicated to mastering all aspects of its craft. From repairing to buying and selling this old gray metal, his expertise was unparalleled. A born artisan and craftsman, Frank's skills extended far beyond pewter as he apprenticed as a young man to become a Journeyman Electrician, showcasing his versatility and thirst for knowledge. He held deep admiration for craftsmen of the past and carried on their legacy through his honest business practices, marked by profound knowledge and fairness. Even as his health wavered, Frank's drive never faltered. Whether customizing his beloved Mustang cars or meticulously assembling model cars, he exemplified a relentless work ethic and a restless spirit. A devoted father and husband, Frank's legacy is not only in his craftsmanship but also in the lasting love and pride he instilled in those around him. jill powell 7/28/2024

new York boardman flagon

I am pleased to offer this very nice two-quart 11 1/8" tall flagon marked by boardman & company of new York city 1825-1827. the cast form is a tribute to british vessels of the mid-eighteenth century, known as spire flagons. the piece is loaded with detail and is nicely finished. the flagon is in excellent condition.
