It is with a heavy heart that i announce the passing of my beloved husband, Frank M. Powell, on April 1, 2024. Following is his obituary:

Frank Powell was truly a renaissance man, deeply passionate about pewter and dedicated to mastering all aspects of its craft. From repairing to buying and selling this old gray metal, his expertise was unparalleled. A born artisan and craftsman, Frank's skills extended far beyond pewter as he apprenticed as a young man to become a Journeyman Electrician, showcasing his versatility and thirst for knowledge. He held deep admiration for craftsmen of the past and carried on their legacy through his honest business practices, marked by profound knowledge and fairness. Even as his health wavered, Frank's drive never faltered. Whether customizing his beloved Mustang cars or meticulously assembling model cars, he exemplified a relentless work ethic and a restless spirit. A devoted father and husband, Frank's legacy is not only in his craftsmanship but also in the lasting love and pride he instilled in those around him. jill powell 7/28/2024

18” St. George & Dragon dish

i am pleased to offer this very finely executed dish made in innsbruck, austria between 1775 and 1809. the maker was joseph phillip apeller. his touch marks are well struck to the back. the dish is quite heavy, well detailed and 18” in diameter. the rim is embossed and the center scene is engraved with ‘st. george slaying the dragon.’ the dish is 3 1/8” deep. the condition is excellent/original.
