It is with a heavy heart that i announce the passing of my beloved husband, Frank M. Powell, on April 1, 2024. Following is his obituary:

Frank Powell was truly a renaissance man, deeply passionate about pewter and dedicated to mastering all aspects of its craft. From repairing to buying and selling this old gray metal, his expertise was unparalleled. A born artisan and craftsman, Frank's skills extended far beyond pewter as he apprenticed as a young man to become a Journeyman Electrician, showcasing his versatility and thirst for knowledge. He held deep admiration for craftsmen of the past and carried on their legacy through his honest business practices, marked by profound knowledge and fairness. Even as his health wavered, Frank's drive never faltered. Whether customizing his beloved Mustang cars or meticulously assembling model cars, he exemplified a relentless work ethic and a restless spirit. A devoted father and husband, Frank's legacy is not only in his craftsmanship but also in the lasting love and pride he instilled in those around him. jill powell 7/28/2024

awesome 1830 dixon six-piece tea set

i am pleased to offer this incredible tea set by james dixon & son 1830 to 1834 of sheffield, england. included in the set are three sizes of pots, a sugar bowl, a waste bowl and a cream jug. the pots stand 11", 8 1/2" and 7 7/8" tall. all pieces are marked and in excellent original condition. this style of pot is extremely rare. jack scott felt is was a sheffield artisan masterpiece, and used a near identical pot as the cover piece on his book the "pewter wares from sheffield."
