It is with a heavy heart that i announce the passing of my beloved husband, Frank M. Powell, on April 1, 2024. Following is his obituary:

Frank Powell was truly a renaissance man, deeply passionate about pewter and dedicated to mastering all aspects of its craft. From repairing to buying and selling this old gray metal, his expertise was unparalleled. A born artisan and craftsman, Frank's skills extended far beyond pewter as he apprenticed as a young man to become a Journeyman Electrician, showcasing his versatility and thirst for knowledge. He held deep admiration for craftsmen of the past and carried on their legacy through his honest business practices, marked by profound knowledge and fairness. Even as his health wavered, Frank's drive never faltered. Whether customizing his beloved Mustang cars or meticulously assembling model cars, he exemplified a relentless work ethic and a restless spirit. A devoted father and husband, Frank's legacy is not only in his craftsmanship but also in the lasting love and pride he instilled in those around him. jill powell 7/28/2024

circa 1600 pricket sticks

i am very pleased to offer this circa 1600 pair of north german pricket candlesticks. they are 10 3/4" tall to the top of the spike and 7 1/4" to the upper drip pan. the bottom diameter is 5". the components of these are similar to a tall candlestick pictured in the hornsby's "pewter of the western world" on page 319, illustration #1079 (center). the pair has a nice dark patina and are in very good condition. these are church sticks.
