philadelphia boyd tankard

it is my pleasure to offer this fine tankard made by the respected philadelphia pewterer parks boyd.  boyd made exceptional well designed pewter forms from 1795-1819.  this 7 1/2" tall quart tankard exemplifies his skills.  the 'coin' top lid mimics swedish influence mixed with a chair back thumbpiece, handle and body of english style.  but for some etching on the inside bottom, the condition is excellent without damage or wear.
