signed molasses jugs are very hard to find. for sale here is an exceptional example by samuel simpson. he worked in yalesville, connecticut from 1835-1852 producing items such as this, teapots and coffeepots. this jug stands 6 1/4” tall and is in very good condition. it is marked “simpson” on its bottom.
