It is with a heavy heart that i announce the passing of my beloved husband, Frank M. Powell, on April 1, 2024. Following is his obituary:

Frank Powell was truly a renaissance man, deeply passionate about pewter and dedicated to mastering all aspects of its craft. From repairing to buying and selling this old gray metal, his expertise was unparalleled. A born artisan and craftsman, Frank's skills extended far beyond pewter as he apprenticed as a young man to become a Journeyman Electrician, showcasing his versatility and thirst for knowledge. He held deep admiration for craftsmen of the past and carried on their legacy through his honest business practices, marked by profound knowledge and fairness. Even as his health wavered, Frank's drive never faltered. Whether customizing his beloved Mustang cars or meticulously assembling model cars, he exemplified a relentless work ethic and a restless spirit. A devoted father and husband, Frank's legacy is not only in his craftsmanship but also in the lasting love and pride he instilled in those around him. jill powell 7/28/2024

i am pleased to offer this early tankard made in stockton on tees between 1721 and 1781 by edmund harvey. his touchmark was probably used first by his grandfather, edmund harvey of wigan between 1651 and 1684. this tankard was exhibited in the tish exhibition (palace of history) in glasgow in 1911. see tag and additional provinance info in photos. it has a perfectly struck touch mark inside and is in good original condition inside and out. the tankard stands 6 1/2” tall, has a 4” diameter and 4 1/2” base diameter.
