i am pleased to offer this very pleasing example of pewter made by henry joseph of London, expressly for export to the american colonies. he worked from 1736 to 1792. his work was of the highest standard of its time. this pear shaped teapot is of two-cup capacity, stands 6” tall and is 7 1/4” long. the wood handle and finial buttons are well executed replacements. the teapot is signed with joseph’s #2315 crowned “X” mark.
