wavy edge eighteenth century spackman plates

i am pleased to offer these two (hard to find) special made-to-order wavy edge 9 3/4” plates by london maker joseph spackman I. he worked from 1749 to 1799. this style english plate was made-to-order by wealthy patrons, as they are labor intensive with multiple pieces of molding and much more hammering to the ‘booge’. they are engraved on the front rim with owners initials and/or a coat-of-arms. it appears these plates contain the initials ‘hgc’. the plates have a polished front and a dark back with small eruptions on one. they are in very good condition.
